The 3rd and final day of the All School Championships did not disappoint with our 100m runners shinning.

Day 3 of Australian All Schools Championships 2022 11th of December Adelaide South Australia

The final day of the All-Schools championships and it did not disappoint, with both Amaya and Ethan taking out the gold again with back-to-back wins in their U15 100m finals. An amazing achievement for these two athletes who took out the double both winning gold in the 100 and 200m at the championships. Amaya also competed in the triple jump which was happening in between her 100m prelims and her final and came an impressive 4th place. Amaya shone at this event coming home with 4 medals in the 100m, 200m, Long Jump and 4 × 100m relay. Congratulations on such a wonderful championship. We also had James Grey finish off our medal haul for the weekend with a 3rd place in the U15 100m showing the strength of our 14-year-old age group at our club which just keeps growing stronger every year.

We also had two 5th places for the day with both Theo Harvey (Theo went very close to a huge pb with an unfortunate foul with his foot just over the line) in the U15 triple jump and Chiamaka Ekeocha in the U17 100m hurdles and a Pb, both athletes have improved massively over the last 6 months and are looking in good shape for the up coming athletics national championships in April.

Congratulations to all our athletes that competed at the championships we are so proud of how you performed down in Adelaide.

Thank you to everyone that sent in photos from All Schools and I will have the results for both junior and senior comps up very soon. Some of the photos are care of the professional photographer at the event Sports in Focus, so if you wish to get a copy that is not watermarked and high resolution, go check them out.
