A little foggy and mysterious at training tonight.

It was very wet down at training on Thursday night at Nudgee College but I think it was a wonderful opportunity to train on a tartan track especially for some of our younger athletes. Both Tuesday and Thursday nights were well attended. Nice to see our athletes continuing their training despite the rain.

Sorry this post is a little late, we had 4 Mayne athletes compete in the 3000m Championships last Saturday the 8th of Feb. it was challenging conditions out at QSAC with heavy rain in some races. It was bucketing down in the u17 race. Well done to Gwen who faced tough competition in u15 and only 12 who came 8th and only narrowly missed the national qualifier. Amber did a big PB in tough conditions of 24 seconds. Jess went really close to her PB in the open women’s race in the pouring rain and Izzy ran up in the open women’s and took out the top crown winning the open race. Amazing effort Izzy you took the crown as the youngest athlete to do this since our own Karen Iselin 48 years ago. Amazing achievement Izzy. Congratulations to all four of our athletes.
